The interlacing of an unlikely duo

When co-founders Gautam and Liza met on their first day at UCLA Anderson School of Management, they seemed worlds apart. Gautam was pivoting from a nearly decade-long career as a criminal prosecutor and had become engrossed in real estate and graduate-level teaching; Liza spent a large portion of her life focused on physiology and psychology, and at Anderson was focused on impact and organizational inclusion. For two years, they barely spoke beyond pleasantries.

However, their paths converged on a class trip to Chile. Both felt out of place among their classmates, and in their shared discomfort, they found a genuine connection. Since then, their friendship blossomed, and over time their interests and passions converged - and Interlace was born. Beyond anything, the connection was created and remains steadfast based on common values, which naturally became the values of Interlace:

Authenticity is an imperative for personal development, interpersonal connection. We want people to go beyond performing roles, but be genuinely committed to their teams and missions, leading to more sustainable and impactful transformations.
